CD Projekt RED Teases Upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 v2.3 Patch - Could be Substantial DLC Pack

Last March, CD Projekt RED (CDPR) announced the end of developing major content updates for Cyberpunk 2077. Instead, a smaller group would concentrate on pushing out smaller batches post-launch content. At the time, international studio priorities were shifting to next-gen productions—namely The Witcher 4 (Poland), and a Cyberpunk sequel (North America). The last multi-platform patch—version 2.21, consisting mostly of fixes and improvements—arrived on January 23. Almost half a year later, industry watchers have noticed intriguing Virtuos employee activity on LinkedIn—indicating some sort of "unannounced Cyberpunk 2077 DLC" collaboration with CDPR. Lately, this contract developer is best known for its modernization/remastering of Bethesda's classic The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006) open world RPG.

During a mid-week "REDstreams—Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2" live broadcast, Alicja Kozera—a company senior community manager—fielded queries from the community. One individual brought up the subject of rumored future DLC—Kozera responded: "I can tell you right now, we are planning another part for the game. The last one wasn't the (final) one." Yesterday evening, Marcin Momot—CDPR's Global Community Director—outlined a loose schedule, regarding an upcoming preview: "we're not done yet! Stay tuned for more info about the next Cyberpunk 2077 update coming later this month. We'll start spilling the beans closer to the release of patch 2.3 (that's its name), so for now, we ask for a bit more patience. Let the team cook!" Naturally, Virtuos has not been named as a collaborator. CDPR is no stranger to outsourcing; as revealed in a recent CyberPunk 2077 Switch 2 build discussion. Additionally, Saber Interactive was roped in as the primary porter of The Witcher 3 onto the original Switch hybrid console.

Hello Games Introduces No Man's Sky BEACON Expansion

Hello, our latest update is called No Man's Sky BEACON, releasing today on June 4th, and it's a big one! Not only that but we are releasing a Nintendo Switch 2 version ready for launch of the new console tomorrow on June 5th. Players can become town mayor and take ownership of multiple settlements. You can construct buildings and upgrade each one, with new building types like jukebox bars where you can choose the music, merchants where you can build custom starships or even ponds you can chill and fish at.

One of the coolest additions in BEACON is the arrival of the robotic Autophage settlements. The most recent race introduced to No Man's Sky, these large towns are built in their own image, an identifiable robotic style, all metal and mechanics. Unique Autophage building parts can be constructed in your own base and add a very hard sci-fi style to your dwellings and constructions. For the ambitious Traveller, multiple settlements can now be owned and managed by one Overseer, so for instance you won't need to abandon your existing charges to bring these new robotic citizens under your wing.

Clock Speed Disparities Noted Between Yeston's Radeon RX 9060 XT GAEA 16 GB & 8 GB SKUs

Earlier in the week, Yeston revealed a sci-fi/cyberpunk character-themed Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Game Ace SKU. Eager followers of the Chinese brand were wondering whether additional custom designs—based on AMD's Navi 44 XT GPU—were in the pipeline, possibly ready in time for an official June 5 launch. In Yeston's case, they expect to start shipping on June 7—exclusively for the Chinese market. Fortunately, several dual-fan "GAEA" and triple-fan "Game Ace White" models have turned up on Yeston's JD.com storefront. VideoCardz has pored over the fundamentals, and quickly realized that there are key differences—in terms of GPU clock speeds—when cross-referencing entry-level/barebones GAEA 16 GB and 8 GB card specifications.

The latter variant seems to exist as Yeston's absolute baseline MSRP option; its pre-order tag is 2499 RMB, including VAT. Curiously, pre-launch info seems to show the 16 GB sibling (2899 RMB, inc. VAT) possessing elevated boost and game clocks: 3230 MHz and 2620 GHz (respectively). The lesser model makes do with Team Red's reference figures: 3130 MHz and 2530 MHz (respectively). VideoCardz believes that this is an isolated case; they have not stumbled upon similar spec disparities between product family members—be it with other AIBs or within Yeston's stable. It could be safe to assume that Yeston's product pages contain inaccurate or placeholder numbers.

Atomfall: The Wicked Isle Story Expansion Arriving Next Week

For those of you who are new to the game, Atomfall is an action-survival mystery set in the UK. The story takes place five years after the real-life events of the 1957 Windscale Disaster in the North of England. In the world of Atomfall, a quarantine zone has been established around the Atom Plant and no one has been allowed in or out for five years. Life and society have changed and adapted under these trying circumstances and gangs of strange folk now wander the countryside.

You wake up in a bunker with no idea who you are or how you got there. Given the circumstances you have little choice but to set out on a journey to discover what really happened at Windscale and maybe try to find out who you are in the process. The Wicked Isle expansion adds a whole new location, with its own set of characters and enemies as well as additional leads, weapons, skills, items and multiple new endings for the main game.

Yeston Reveals Radeon RX 9060 XT Game Ace 16 GB Model

Roughly a month ago, Yeston introduced its new generation Game Ace design along with a mysterious no. 207 mascot. The Chinese manufacturer is best known for creating bright and sparkly graphics cards, but a couple of darker products have emerged from their HQ. Their latest offering—finished in varying tones of pink, purple and black—was debuted with GeForce RTX 50-series hardware. At the start of this week, the 2025 Game Ace lineup welcomed a new member. Yeston's social media accounts introduced a custom Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB model: "the black and purple cyberpunk RX 9060 XT Game Ace launched today. Would he be your choice?" In a reply to a follower's question, a company rep confirmed that the better known Sakura and Sakura Atlantis backplate/shroud designs are currently reserved for higher-end Radeon RX 9070 XT and non-XT options (within the RDNA 4 family). Game Ace will probably not escape the confines of Navi 44 (XT) hardware.

Unsurprisingly, the Yeston Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Game Ace SKU exhibits only minor visual differences, when compared to its "Blackwell" GPU-based relatives. We are looking at a fairly typical triple-fan + three 6 mm heat pipes cooling solution. A single 8-pin power connector is visible in some of Yeston's promotional renders. According to ITHome's inspection of specifications: "the boost frequency and game frequency under standard mode (STD) are 3230 MHz and 2620 MHz respectively, and the VAR mode further overclocks to 3230 MHz and 2780 MHz." Despite claiming that their freshly unveiled Game Ace model has reached launch status, the AIB likely has to conform with official AMD decree. Team Red's board partners will be releasing Radeon RX 9060 XT cards on June 5.

Raccoon Logic Announces Revenge of the Savage Planet's Global Launch

All Editions. All Platforms. All the Savage Planet goodness is live. It's time for everyone to clock in. Or at least, it would be if you hadn't been made redundant. After 107 years spent in cryosleep and crash-landing on an alien planet in a faraway space system, we're absolutely pumped to announce that REVENGE OF THE SAVAGE PLANET IS LIVE FOR ALL! This isn't a drill. This isn't a teaser. This isn't an elaborate HR onboarding simulation. We actually finished the game.

Well, here we are...After years of coffee-fueled brainstorming, questionable career choices, and at least one incident involving an employee dressed as a Furry in Raccoon Suit (true story), Revenge of the Savage Planet is finally ready for launch. As a small thirty-person team, when we spun up Raccoon Logic, it wasn't to become galaxy-conquering overlords (though we did pitch that at one meeting). It was to tell weird, wonderful, and art imitating life stories. To let players poke aliens with butts for faces, fire off absurd gadgets, and laugh at the strange, beautiful mess of the universe, and maybe even feel something along the way.

La Quimera Relaunched into Early Access; Dev Team Encourages Fan Feedback

Late last month, La Quimera did not launch on its promised release date (April 26). At the time, the game's development team—Reburn—sent out an apology (via Discord), but their short statement did not delve into too much explanatory detail. Industry watchdogs proposed revised launch windows; potentially later on in 2025. Apparently, last month's "version 1.0" review code was not well received—content and performance-wise. Additionally, a mid-month closed beta program was reportedly nixed within 24 hours of kicking off—early community feedback suggests participants experiencing a myriad of problems. As promised during non-launch week, Reburn has provided a more comprehensive update about forward progress—in the renewed form of La Quimera; available now in Early Access.

Within the title's rebooted Steam page, Reburn outlines a revised release schedule (subject to change): "La Quimera, our narrative-driven sci-fi FPS, is now live on Steam in Early Access!..We plan to remain in Early Access for up to 18 months. This timeline may adjust based on feedback and the pace of development, but our goal is to deliver a fully polished experience within that timeframe...The Early Access version currently includes the first four levels of the campaign, featuring fully integrated narrative and gameplay elements. It offers approximately five hours of story-driven content, designed to demonstrate the core experience we are building toward. The current build is stable and fully playable, though bugs and balance adjustments are expected as we continue refinement." Interested parties can give this "still in progress" iteration a try; Steam early access pricing is $29.99.

Piranha Games Launches MechWarrior 5: Clans - Ghost Bear: Flash Storm DLC

MechWarriors, the time for waiting is over. We're thrilled to tell you that our first MechWarrior 5: Clans DLC—Ghost Bear: Flash Storm—is launching later today for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. You'll be able to experience the continuation of the Operation Revival story from the perspective of one of BattleTech's most storied Clans. The Ghost Bear is currently at a historic low point after a catastrophic start to the invasion. But a new set of Bear Khans have a daring plan to get the Ghost Bears back in the game. We launched MechWarrior 5: Clans last October for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and day one with Game Pass, and we're extremely proud of what our team at Piranha Games accomplished. In retrospect, our goal was pretty wild: delivering a game that provides a jumping-on point for new players while simultaneously honoring decades of complex, interfactional lore. All the while, we needed to ensure that players felt like they were in the cockpit of a towering 'Mech.

The Clans campaign followed the Smoke Jaguar Clan, a faction whose aggression and obsession with leading the Children of Kerensky out of exile made them notorious among rival Clans—the Ghost Bears are a completely different beast. Where the Smoke Jaguars were obsessed over what they saw as their manifest destiny, the Ghost Bears know the power of patience; its "ambush predator" mantra perfectly attuned to the Strana Mechty Ghost Bear, whom the Clan took as their namesake. That approach hasn't served them well as of late, however. Clan Ghost Bear has fallen far behind their fellow Clans during the opening events of the Clan Invasion due to poor preparation and leadership. But newly elected Khans (Clan leaders) Bjorn Jorgensson and Aletha Kabrinski look to put that past behind them and take their rightful place among the other invading Clans.
