Building on an already solid reputation in the $200 price bracket with models such as the excellent Phantom Gaming B850 Riptide Wi-Fi, ASRock also has other options for around the same price and the B850 Steel Legend Wi-Fi will definitely appeal to owners of white PC cases too, it even includes on board RGB lighting.

At just $200 for a B850 chipset motherboard, though, there are inevitable cuts to the specifications and this is often where budget motherboards sink or swim as far as being appealing options, with some striking a good balance, while others cut a little too far. On paper and aesthetically, the B850 Steel Legend Wi-Fi seems to have got a lot right.



Unsurprisingly, USB4 has been cut from the specs table and there are far fewer CPU power phases than the likes of the ASRock X870E Taichi Lite. However, those features are unlikely to be that important to those on tighter budgets.
