Phylina S480 Max Review

Packaging, Weight, Cable & Feet »

Introduction

Phylina Logo

Phylina is a gaming peripheral company based in China. Essentially being a match to the 42 g SCYROX V6 in terms of shape, at 41 g the ambidextrous S480 Max also lands very close in terms of weight. This weight has been achieved using a solid shell, without any holes or an open bottom. Much like the V6, the S480 Max comes with PixArt's latest PAW3950 sensor capable of 30,000 CPI, and 8000 Hz polling is supported in both wireless and wired operation. For the main buttons, Huano switches of the blue transparent shell, pink plunger variety see use. Aside from 2.4 GHz wireless, the S480 Max also supports Bluetooth. Configuration is possible either in a lightweight software not requiring installation or conveniently through a web driver. The S480 Max is also available with the PAW3395 sensor, and in colorways of black, white, and red.
