Due to recently updated trade restrictions, this Chinese NVIDIA board partner (and others) can no longer source top-flight "Blackwell" GPUs. Until the emergence of a nerfed GeForce RTX 5090D design, AX Gaming's latest lineup hits a ceiling with the GeForce RTX 5080 X3W MAX 16 GB SKU. Currently, TPU's GPU database lists an almost all-white non-MAX model—sporting an identical shroud design, and a similar-ish backplate. The MAX's unique selling point (USP) is a hidden power connection system, coupled with an unusual L-shaped custom power cord. Earlier today, Gigabyte introduced a flagship Stealth ICE model that seemingly takes a couple of cues from Sapphire's latest Nitro+ setup. AX Gaming has readied less potent GeForce RTX 5070 Ti X3W Max 16 GB and GeForce RTX 5070 X3W Max 12 GB options. It is possible that dual-fan (X2W) MAX relatives could appear at a later date; housing Team Green's GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 GPUs.

Almost akin to patterns exhibited by the Chinese AIB's baseline MSRP conformant products, the PowerColor Reaper 16 GB card seems to boast greater game and boost clock digits when compared to its 8 GB sibling: +90 MHz and 100 MHz (respectively). At first, Yeston's GAEA spec charts were believed to contain placeholder info or anomalous data. The appearances of comparable PowerColor examples indicate an advantageous position for certain 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM-equipped models.

GALAX's modular "Boomstar" series of GeForce RTX 50-series cards are not well known in the West, but a little bit of global coverage trickled out last month. The Chinese manufacturer often releases regional exclusives, and its latest LUNA (white) and NOX (black) options are prime examples. ASRock revealed its Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi OC flagship card at CES 2025—at the time, TechPowerUp staffers quickly realized that this design was outfitted with a 12V-2x6 power connector. Up until early 2025, this connection standard was mostly associated with NVIDIA GeForce 40 and 50-series graphics cards. ASRock and Sapphire have taken the unusual step of deploying premium RDNA 4 GPU-based models that sport 12V-2x6 connectors; breaking away from a traditional usage of 8-pin power delivery channels. The Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi OC SKU arrived with a new aesthetic; consisting of various gunmetal gray shades, gear graphics, and ARGB lighting zones. Unfortunately, TPU's photographer did not notice a very special current-gen Taichi spin-off. Apparently, the Taiwanese manufacturer has absorbed some inspiration from a nearby rival's "Spectral White" line: PowerColor. ASRock's "Taichi White 16 GB OC Concept Card" seems to stick with existing overclocked Radeon RX 9070 XT specifications (including a 3.1 GHz boost clock), but the firm's engineering team has integrated an LCD information window. This built-in-display was not powered up—for obvious reasons—but industry watchdogs reckon that (speculative) finalized retail examples will demand higher prices of entry, due to this extra provision. Company representatives—in attendance at last week's Computex event—have disclosed only a bare minimum of details. Top brass could be weighing up Taichi White's future; with an escape beyond concept phases—maybe in limited edition form.

The TechPowerUp crew had trouble keeping up with the plethora of new "panoramic view" P-series cases being exhibited at Zalman's Computex booth. Starting with mid-range products; the South Korean brand has prepared various (up to microATX format) P30 and P30 DS2 color options. Gigabyte could be teasing an upcoming full reveal of its "AORUS RTX 5090 MASTER STEALTH ICE" graphics card; perhaps lined up for next week's Computex showcase. Hopefully, a forthcoming unveiling will demonstrate an innovative solution.

Seasonic has introduced its new MAXFlow 120 mm cooling fan series with a thickness of 30 mm. It features a reinforced frame with noise-dampening corner pads while the reverse fan design with arc-shaped blades improves the airflow. Seasonic newest MAXFlow fan measures 120 mm x 120 mm x 30 mm and runs on DC power between 9.5 V and 13.8 V with a maximum speed of 3300 RPM. The fan use high-quality Japanese NMB ball bearings with a lifespan of up to 70,000 hours.

Performance specifications include impressive airflow of 154.85 CFM and static pressure of 8.5 mm-H₂O, though noise levels reach 46.60 dB(A) at maximum speed. For convenience, a three-speed selector switch allows users to choose between quiet operation (up to 1000 RPM), balanced performance (up to 2000 RPM), or maximum cooling capacity (up to 3300 RPM). Seasonic MAXFlow 120 mm is available in white and black versions, as a single pack or triple set (this kit includes an additional 3-to-1 PWM extension cable for motherboard connection) and is backed by a 5-year warranty. Exact pricing and availability are not known at this moment, however, Seasonic is mentioning "affordable price" on product presentation pages.

Sparkle announced availability of its flagship custom-design Intel Arc B580 graphics card, the Sparkle B580 ROC Luna OC Ultra. The card derives its name from an all-white appearance, with white making up not just the cooler shroud and fan impellers, but also the PCB solder-mask underneath. The card's design appears to balance elements to appeal to both gamers and creators. It comes with a 2.5-slot thick design that's at least an inch taller than what constitutes full-height. It uses an aluminium fin-stack heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of 90 mm fans.

The Sparkle Arc B580 ROC Luna OC Ultra comes with the company's highest factory overclock for the B580, with a max boost frequency of 2800 MHz compared to 2670 MHz reference, and 2740 MHz of its Titan OC graphics card. It also comes with increased power limits of 210 W, compared to 190 W reference. It draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The company didn't reveal pricing, but we expect it to be between the $250-300 mark.

At some point this week, the population of ASUS GeForce cards has grown again. In a very quiet manner, the brand has added over twenty new SKUs to its Team Green portfolio. The Taiwanese company seems to be catching up with a nearby AIB rival—since February, MSI has stealthily expanded its graphics card library. It will likely take a while—for PC hardware news outlets—to comb through everything, but momomo_us and Wccftech have put spotlights on two compelling "White Edition" spin-offs of already launched ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB and RTX 5070 12 GB custom models. The manufacturer's TUF Gaming division is best known for running with an industrial/military aesthetic on mid-tier positioned products—a standard palette combines gunmetal gray tones, silver highlights and minimal ARGB lighting zones.

The freshly introduced TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB GDDR7 White OC Edition will be deployed with the exact same specifications and "military-grade" components present on its traditionally-shaded sibling. In a similar manner, the new PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 White OC Edition 12 GB GDDR7 SKU leverages a repeat of original model specifications. The ASUS global website does not provide pricing or availability details, at the time of writing. Under normal circumstances, PRIME graphics cards were intended to be "baseline MSRP" conformant. It is not clear whether this white-hued + overclocked variant will hover close to NVIDIA's recommended GeForce RTX 5070 starting level: $549.00. Unfortunately, both of these brand-new almost "all-white" setups do not extend to contained PCB designs—we are probably looking at standard model boards. Gaming graphics card enthusiasts have heaped praise on PowerColor; thanks to their inclusion of suitably pale PCBs within "Spectral White" products.

Acer today announced that several products have been honored with the iF Design Award 2025. This year's product design winners, all under the computer category, include the TravelMate P6 14 AI business laptop, the Aspire C Series All-in-One PCs, and the multiple-award-winning Aspire Vero 16. Notably, this marks the Aspire Vero 16 series' second iF Design Award, having first been recognized during the 2022 ballot.

This year's evaluation process was based on five criteria: idea, form, function, differentiation, and sustainability. Nearly 11,000 submissions were assessed by 131 jurors, highlighting the rigorous selection process to determine this year's award recipients. Receiving these accolades celebrates Acer's exceptional product designs and the company's efforts to align with current social trends, particularly developments in sustainability and artificial intelligence, areas that were noted to have a strong influence on product submissions across all disciplines.

Sapphire Technology has revealed another new motherboard design; the PURE B650M WIFI. As of late last week, this "polar white" model was introduced as a natural accompaniment to similarly pale graphics card options—one promotional shot had the newly launched product sat next to the manufacturer's PURE Radeon RX 9070 XT SKU. Sapphire's shift into motherboard territories is a relatively new endeavor; a premium NITRO+ B650M WIFI SKU was showcased last year. A B850 chipset-based successor was released in China, just over two months ago. A likely budget friendly offering was previewed around mid-April: PULSE A620AM WIFI. The PURE B650M WIFI's overall aesthetic brings ASRock's various compact Steel Legend board designs to mind.

Sapphire's official Weibo account positions the freshly unveiled PURE model as a mid-tier option: "the overall design style of this (microATX) motherboard is simple and stylish. Neither the PCB nor the heat dissipation armor is overly complicated." Despite these modest provisions, the PURE B650M WIFI is still a very capable piece of kit—the article's author delved into some technical nitty-gritty: "this motherboard (uses) a 12+2+1 power supply module. PWM control is RT3678BE, MOSFET is DrMOS from ALPHA & OMEGA with part code EX00. I checked the official website but couldn't find the specific model, it should be a new model. After asking Sapphire officials, I learned that the code is actually AOZ5510QI, a 55 A DrMos. Therefore, the power supply capacity of this motherboard is as strong as other Sapphire models, and can drive the current flagship Ryzen 9000X3D processor to full output." Regional reviewers seem to possess evaluation samples, but the brand has not yet announced an upcoming retail launch in China.

GALAX has deliberated over the fine-tuning of its pedigree custom GeForce RTX 5090D design throughout early 2025—mid-way through April we heard about an imminent retail release of the Chinese manufacturer's finalized Hall of Fame (HOF) Extreme Overclock (XOC) Limited Edition card. According to the latest reports, the brand has announced the availability of its ultra-premium option; featuring the very best pre-binned GB202 GPU dies and GDDR7 memory modules. Apparently reserved for upper echelon buyers; with a 29,999 RMB (~$4117 USD) launch price tag.

In parallel, GALAX seems to be launching two "lesser" variants—as reported by VideoCardz, the "OC LAB Plus-X" (~$3595 USD) and "OC LAB" (~$3582 USD) SKUs make do with single 12V-2×6 power connectors. Despite this handicap, the Plus-X model is still a record breaker. Naturally, its XOC LE sibling—enabled with twin 12V-2×6 power inputs—sits atop global benchmark tables. GALAX currently boasts about this design achieving nine overclocking world records. Given the limited edition nature of GALAX's top 29,999 RMB offering, stock counts could be small—VideoCardz did not pick up on any local information about launch numbers or involved retail outlets/platforms. There are mutterings about a potential closing off of GB202 "Blackwell" GPU die shipments into China—in effect this could lead to the end of GeForce RTX 5090D 32 GB custom card production.

An unlucky owner of a GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 MASTER ICE 16 GB graphics card has reported a baffling instance of thermal gel leakage. A forum post—titled: "5080 oh my god thermal problem"—on the Quasar Zone BBS alerted the wider world to this bizarre fault. The South Korean MMORPG enthusiast described circumstances up until the point of critical liquefaction: "it's been exactly a month since I bought it. I use it for (Blizzard's) World of Warcraft. Two hours of use per day. I set up the card with a riser kit. Thermal (material) is crawling out?!" Early 2025 press coverage has largely focused on other types of unwanted high temperature events involving GeForce RTX 50-series cards, but the seeping out of "server-grade thermal conductive gel" compound is something new. As reported by several PC hardware news outlets, GIGABYTE has utilized fancy thermal conductive gel within flagship SKUs—instead of traditional/conventional thermal pads. This gel was placed over the card's VRAM and MOSFET sections; following fairly light usage (as described above) some of this material started to head down—getting ever closer to the unit's PCIe interface.

Assisted by the AORUS RTX 5080 MASTER ICE's vertical orientation, the (apparently) highly deformable, but non-fluid thermal gel was susceptible to the effects of gravity. JC Hyun System Co., Ltd.—GIGABYTE's official domestic importer (for South Korea)—weighed in with a separate bulletin: "we are aware of the thermal gel issue with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 50 series, which was first posted on Quasar Zone—(we) are currently discussing the thermal gel issue with GIGABYTE HQ and future customer service regulations. In addition, we sincerely apologize for the confusion caused to many customers who love and use GIGABYTE products due to inaccurate guidance provided to customers who received the products due to unclear customer service regulations regarding the issue that occurred this time. Lastly, when the manufacturer's customer service policy regarding this thermal gel issue is finalized, we will also forward the service policy to CS Innovation so that it can be processed smoothly in accordance with the service policy. We will also provide information through a separate post so that more customers can be aware of the information." As mentioned by Notebookcheck, GIGABYTE uses this special thermal gel solution on other highly expensive custom: "RTX 50-series cards like the GeForce RTX 5090 XTREME WATERFORCE 32G, RTX 5090 MASTER ICE, RTX 5070 Ti MASTER, and others."

ZOTAC GAMING has quietly added two more models to its SOLID GeForce RTX 50-series product range. Looking back into TechPowerUp's news archive, the Hong Kong-based manufacturer's latter half of March calendar has already introduced four brand-new SKUs, with adjusted dimensions. Two weeks ago, industry watchdogs spotted a low-key rollout of "slimmer profile" SOLID CORE GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti options. As discovered earlier today by VideoCardz, ZOTAC has expanded its "no frills" range—again, without the issuing of an accompaniment press release. Starting with the most confusing aspect, their report highlighted the two-slot thick "GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SOLID SFF" model. The company's "SOLID CORE" cards were recently introduced with 2.5-slot thick shrouds, but attached I/O brackets still occupied three spaces. The original "SOLID" equivalents turned up at launch with substantial 3.5-slot thick cooling solutions.

Throughout early 2025, NVIDIA and certain board partners projected plenty of ballyhoo regarding multiple GeForce RTX 50-series custom options conforming to official "SFF-Ready" standards. ZOTAC seems to be heading in that direction with its "slimmer" new product strategy. Their freshly-added GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SOLID SFF SKU is advertised as an "NVIDIA SFF-Ready GeForce Enthusiast Card," and (thankfully) features a two-slot I/O bracket. A specification sheet lists this model's height as 41.6 mm—sporting a noticeable reduction in one dimension, when compared to SOLID CORE (56 mm) and SOLID (68 mm) equivalent dimensions. When looking at ZOTAC's brand-new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SOLID CORE OC White Edition product page, we can see that it is simply a pale redecoration of the standard SKU. The manufacturer has seemingly missed another opportunity to bung in a matching white PCB design.

Around RDNA 4's launch period, ASRock's web presences listed an intriguing Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark 16 GB model—seemingly not mentioned in official introductory press material. As covered on TechPowerUp earlier this month, this unusual darkened spin-off of the "traditional white" Steel Legend design received little fanfare—the obvious reason being that gray/black stock was not readied for AMD's March 6 rollout to market. Over the past weekend, VideoCardz put an investigative spotlight on a Hermitage AkiHabara/GDM Japan press release. It turns out that ASRock's Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark SKU will become available early next month, starting with the Japanese "domestic market."

The manufacturer's global website was not updated with a similar PR item, so an international/widespread launch is likely planned for a later date. The "expected market price" upon release is 133,800 yen (including tax), which converts to roughly US$891. Industry watchdogs believe that the Dark variant will roll out "globally" with the exact same price tag as the already launched pale sibling. The Taiwanese brand did not introduce a Radeon RX 9070 (non-XT) Steel Legend Dark overclocked model, to exist alongside their white-hued RX 9070 Steel Legend OC offering. The wallet-friendlier triple-fan ASRock RX 9070 Challenger SKU—in black, with a splash of ARGB—is their only other Navi 48 XT GPU-based option.
