The Hikvision DK4000 is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2230 form factor, launched in 2024. It is only available in the 2 TB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Hikvision DK4000 interfaces using a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the MAP1602A Falcon Lite from MaxioTech, a DRAM cache is not available. Hikvision has installed 232-layer TLC NAND flash on the DK4000, the flash chips are made by YMTC. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 4.0 interface, performance is excellent. The DK4000 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s and 6,500 MB/s write; random IO reaches 1035K IOPS for read and 1100K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 99 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Hikvision guarantees an endurance rating of 3600 TBW, a good value.
